Dr. Ryan Schultz graduated from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May, 2017, after seven years at MSU. He moved up to Traverse City that summer to begin practicing medicine, excited at the opportunity to live in northern Michigan. Throughout his education, Dr. Schultz's goal was to work in general practice, although his special interests include dermatology, endocrine disease, dental disease, and care for geriatric pets.
Dr. Schultz grew up in Okemos, Michigan, a town adjacent to MSU. He is an avid Spartan, having held season tickets for football since 2007. He also loves exploring the natural beauty of northern Michigan and spends quality time on Higgins Lake every summer. Dr. Schultz's other interests include downhill skiing, pickleball, paddle boarding, Michigan craft beer, bass guitar and indie rock.
Ryan lives in Traverse City with his orange cat Barker and a puggle named Elsie.
